10. Waldsassen Granary
The Waldsassen Granary was constructed between 1739 and 1742 by the Baroque architect Brother Muttone. Since 1990, it is the home to the International Museum of Ceramics, a branch of the New Collection (State Museum for Applied Arts in Munich). Various Bavarian museums place their objects on permanent display there, the exhibitions ranging from pottery from Ancient Egypt to Jugendstil, and from Chinese vases to modern English ‘Studio Pottery’. Moreover, the local porcelain industry puts its works on display there as well. The local public library is located in the other half of the building.
