8. Catholic Church St. Sebastian
The collegiate chapel was erected at Sebastianstraße in 1486. Destroyed by lightning and war, the church was rebuilt in 1692 and, in 1697, dedicated to St. Sebastian. The Renaissance tombstone of Count Palatine Friedrich of Parkstein’s twins, who died in Weiden in 1590, is situated at the western choir arch. Next to the ornate lattice under the gallery is the copy of an image of the Virgin Mary preserved in the original frame, a donation made by the Chapel of Holy Bush.
